Lera Buttars, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on July 21, 2016 in Preston, Idaho.   The ravages of cancer eventually weakened her mortal body, but her radiant spirit shone brightly as  she left this earth.  She was born August 15, 1928 in Freedom, Wyoming to John Raymond and Lula  Irene (Haderlie) Jenkins.  She married Stewart Buttars on March 28, 1952 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

 

Lera is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stewart Melvin Buttars and her 6 children: Lana (Steve)  Archibald, Valerie (Roger) Donohoe, Jan (Tom)  Hatch, Beverly (Kim) Yates, Nancy (Bryce) Hawkins,  and Rhet (Sandy) Buttars; a sister, Maxine Sanderson; as well as many grandchildren and  great‐grandchildren.
