Wayne Andrew Bosen passed away at his home in Grace ID on October 15, 2025 from natural causes. Life began in Preston Idaho on September 10 1943, as he was born to Curtis and Mildred (Olsen) Bosen. Wayne was the third of four children that grew up in Riverdale at the mouth of the Bear River Narrows. The four children grew and started to help on the family farm as they were able, they were very important to the family dynamic on the farm. There was Dorothy Jean the eldest, Dan, Wayne, and the Youngest Lyle. Wayne and Lyle were separated by four years but yet inseparable as they were not only brothers, but best friends! Their Birthdays were the same day, they also shared it with their Grandfather and Lyle's Granddaughter. Wayne was a 1961 Graduate of Preston High School, after High School Wayne Went to work for Utah Power and Light where he trimmed trees until he was able to Apprentice as a Lineman, eventually becoming a Journeyman Lineman.
Soon after, Wayne married his sweetheart Sue Ann Martin Bosen on February 21, 1964. Then in 1966, Wayne was drafted into the United States Army and had to leave for Boot Camp in Texas. After completing Boot Camp, Wayne received orders to report to FT Holabird in Maryland for training as a Intel Analyst to learn new skills. Sue Ann was able to meet Wayne in Baltimore for a short time where they shared an apartment, until Wayne's final orders came in. When those orders came in Wayne was sent to Korea for 1 ½ years or a little more. When Wayne was honorably discharged, he was offered Government jobs which he turned down opting to go back home to his Bride and the job he had to leave.
In the summer of 1969, Wayne and Sue were blessed with a Baby boy they named Matthew. They were living in Preston and raising their son when, then in 1979 Wayne was awarded the local agent job in Grace Idaho where they moved to and began a new chapter.
Aside from work, Wayne joined the Grace Lions Club where he made great friends and even became the President of the local chapter a few times. During his time with the Lions club he and his wife Sue worked the Little League Basketball Games, selling candy, hot dogs, and pickles. This brought in much needed revenue for the Lions Club.
In 1986 Wayne and Sue were blessed again with the arrival of their Grandson Tysen Wayne, who was so special to them. Grandpa and Grandma spent a lot of time with Tysen, going on trips like to the Grand Canyon and many other places in Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. Grandpa and Tysen had a great relationship, and Wayne enjoyed every minute teaching him and showing him different things to help him learn. Wayne had the best little names for Tysen, one was Charlie Chuckles. Tysen loved his grandpa and could not wait to spend time with him.
Wayne was always there to help the community and everyone called him at his home about his work if they needed something. Wayne worked sometimes for hours on end in the sub zero weather to get the lights back on for the community.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, brothers and sister as well as his nephew, grand nephew, and his loyal dog Kitter.
