Vicky Lynn Austin Kaae

Vicky Lynn Austin Kaae passed away at 73 in her home. She was surrounded by people she loved. Vicky was born in Malad Idaho to Donna Elizabeth Perry and Merlin “Swede” Austin on July 18, 1952. She moved to Preston shortly after.

Vicky married Garry Kaae on January 16, 1972, in Hyrum Utah. They have been married for 54 years. She is survived by son Bret Kaae, daughter’s Kristy Kaae and Lacey Chatterley. She spent lots of time with her kids and thought of her son-in-law Jeremy Chatterley as one of them. She was always putting her family first and worked very hard to help provide for them. Vicky loved her siblings, Bonnie, Mary, Neil and Bret were her best friends.

Vicky also had a huge soft spot for her grandchildren Kody Kaae, Harley Kaae, Jorden Balls, Dakota James Balls, Ryeken Chatterley, Jaxon Chatterley and Ryder Workman (her 1st Great Grandchild). It was not uncommon for her to find ways to dote on them and spend time with them.

She was preceded in death by her brother Bret Austin and her parents Donna Perry and Merlin Austin. In celebration of mom, she did not want a funeral but wanted everyone to go do something fun and remember her fondly. She will be cremated and her ashes will be interned at the Preston City Cemetery.

A special thanks to the caretakers at Symbii Home Health and Hospice for helping take care of her and making her passing so peaceful. Dr Bontreager and his team of Cara Christy and Tracey were very helpful and compassionate and grew to love mom like she was their own.
