PRESTON, IDAHO VAUGHN J. GREAVESPRESTON- Vaughn Jensen Greaves, 94, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, in Preston, Idaho. He was born Dec. 20, 1913, in Preston, Idaho, to Thomas Cluley and Alice Jensen Greaves. He married Marion Berrett on July 20, 1939, in the Logan Temple. She preceded him in death on Dec. 6, 1982. He married O'Enone Meek on Jan. 6, 1984, in Logan, Utah. She also preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 1991.Vaughn was educated in Preston and then attended Utah State University and LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served a Southern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in various positions in the church including temple officiator, high councilor, and clerk for several bishoprics.He worked at the Preston Clinic as their business manager. He was a lifelong member of the Preston Lions Club, at one time serving as their president.He is survived by three children, David (Georgina) Greaves of Puyallup, Washington; Marcia (Ben) Sorenson of Franklin, Idaho; Jan (Bob) Cranney of Andover, Minnesota; fourteen grandchildren: Scott (Johnna) Lund of Blackfoot, Idaho; Lisa (Russ) Yorgensen of E. Brunswick, New Jersey; Jon (Robyn) Lund of McCall, Idaho; Shannon Lund of Milwaukie, Oregon; Lakely and Sara Greaves of Las Vegas, Nevada; Jesse Greaves, Puyallup, WA; Russell Sorenson of Moscow, ID; Molley Sorenson of Salt Lake City, Utah; Misty (Jason) Sorensen of Vernal, Utah; Kary (Steven) Ware of Wellsville, Utah; Heather (Shawn) Willman of Lakeville, Minnesota; Clayton (Hannah) Cranney of Anoka, Minnesota; Joey Von Cranney of Andover, Minnestota; and by twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters; two children, Roger Greaves and Suzanne (Steve) Lund and one great grandson, Austin Cranney.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at noon in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, Preston, with President Stanley Fellows of the Legacy 1st Branch conducting. Friends may call Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
