Stanley Roper Fellows

Stanley Roper Fellows passed away peacefully in Nampa, Idaho, on May 27, 2026.

Stan was born on January 1, 1942, to Orin Fellows and Selma Olson and was raised on the family farm in Preston, Idaho. He attended Preston High School, where he met the love of his life, Kathryn Edgley. After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand, he married Kathy in the Logan Temple. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.

After graduating from Brigham Young University, Stan and Kathy made their home in Sandy, Utah, before returning to Preston in 1982. They later served a mission together in St. Petersburg, Russia, and eventually settled in Nampa, Idaho.

Stan and Kathy were blessed with six children: Madelyn (Troy Reid), Christopher (Nicole Edwards), Richard (Jennifer Carper), Jonathan (Joann Chauncey), Melissa (James Barber), and Anthony (Holly Kirkbride). Their family grew to include 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who brought them immense joy.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kay; his sister, Udean; and his beloved wife, Kathy, who passed away on April 3, 2026. After 62 years of marriage, he followed her just weeks later.

His faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He loved the gospel and lived his testimony through service, kindness, and devotion to others.

A cowboy at heart, Stan loved horses, the outdoors, and hard work. To his children and grandchildren, he was a hero, mentor, storyteller, and friend who created memories they will cherish forever.

Stan’s legacy of faith, love, and family will live on through all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and the world will not be the same without him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the Preston Third Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
