Sidney Lee Schvaneveldt

Sidney Lee Schvanveldt ,69, passed away on Thursday, November 9th at his home in Weston.

 He was born on March 17, 1948 to Leland Erastus Schvaneveldt and Lila May Schvaneveldt.  He was the 11th of 12 children. He married his best friend and high school sweetheart on February 5, 1966 in Clifton, ID.  They were later sealed in the Logan LDS temple on January 11, 1967.

They lived on the family farm in Weston canyon where they raised their five children. Sidney worked on the farm and milked cows for the first 22 years of their marriage. He then went to work at Presto Products for 18 years before retiring due to health issues. 

Dad spent a lot of time helping the high school rodeo team and loved working with the boys even before he finally had boys of his own.  His hobbies included calf roping, team roping, snowmobiling, and hunting.  In his later years he enjoyed going on rides in the ranger with Mom and the grandkids.  He loved seeing the grandkids and spending time with them. 

Sid is survived by his wife Charlotte; daughters, Tamara Schvaneveldt (Logan, UT); Stacy (Casey) Nay, Layton, UT; Toinette (Dusty) Roholt, Smithfield, UT and sons Trevor M., Weston, and Leland (Bailey), Preston, ID. Seven grandchildren, Kailan (Kody) Anderson, Kennady Nay, Camden Nay, Emma Nay, Sydnee Roholt, Treysen Roholt and Ridger Schvaneveldt.  One great granddaughter, Myla Anderson.  Brothers, Theo Schvaneveldt (Vivian), Weston, ID; Brent Schvaneveldt (Marilyn), American Falls, ID; Phil Schvaneveldt (Zefa), Phoenix, AZ;  sisters, JaNeal Stevenson,  Deweyville, UT; JaNice Balls (ElRay), Weston, ID; Kay Buttars (Craig), Malad, ID; Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gilbert, Dale, Blane, Jerry, John and sister Veda.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13th at the Weston Ward chapel. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 at the Weston Ward chapel, 27 N. Center Street and again Monday from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the chapel.  Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
