Scott Alan Wilkinson

Scott Alan Wilkinson, age 61, peacefully passed away at his home in Preston, Idaho on August 31, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to his loving parents, Robert James Wilkinson and Carol Ann Wood.

Scott is survived by his beloved spouse of 43 years and best friend, Ronene Renee Burrell Wilkinson, and their cherished children: Jesse Earl Wilkinson and spouse Kellie Ann, Jordan Scott Wilkinson, Whitney LeAnne Wilkinson, and Sydney Lynn (Wilkinson) Agbezukey and spouse Derrick. His memory will live on through his adored grandchildren: Krae Scott Nelson, Ruby Ann Wilkinson, and Isaac Scott Agbezukey. Scott was reunited in eternity with his parents, his brothers, Robert Brian and Kurt, and his precious granddaughter, Maya Kate.

Scott grew up in Sandy, Utah, and later moved to Highland, Utah, where he attended and graduated from American Fork High School. He then studied refrigeration and received a certificate at Utah Technical College. He had a strong work ethic and went on to forge a successful career in appliance repair as an entrepreneur and master appliance technician.

In 2013, Scott moved to Preston, Idaho, and four months later was diagnosed with Leukemia. As he received treatment over the next 10 years, he always found peace coming home to the farm that he and Ronene had created.

Scott had a genuine love for hunting, camping, fishing, and all things outdoors. He grew up riding horses, milking cows, and spending time on his family’s farm. He also spent much of his time undertaking home and renovation projects with Ronene, where he played the role of muscle and execution, as she played the role of project manager.

In his community, Scott was known for his unwavering faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Across his life, he served his community in many capacities, including as a scoutmaster, bishopric member, primary teacher, and more.

Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and also his Hospice care providers.
