It is with deep love and profound sorrow that we share the passing of our sweet Sarah Jane Beckstead. A cherished daughter, sister, aunt and friend- who left this earth peacefully surrounded by family on November 11, 2025.
Sarah was born July 26,1989 to Kent Willard and Suzanne Ray Beckstead in American Fork, Utah.
Growing up on a ranch in Lehi, Sarah had a happy childhood and was a light to her whole family. She was blessed to have her brother, sisters and cousins as her best friends.
Athletics came naturally for Sarah. She excelled at any sport she tried; however, in 4th grade she discovered basketball and was hooked. She made the varsity team as a freshman and loved her teammates through all four years.
Sarah graduated from Lehi High School in 2007 then relocated with her family to Weston Idaho. She went on to Dixie State and then Weber State University.
Sarah married her best friend Rasheal Elane Miller on March 15,2015. They were later divorced but remained best friends. Some of Sarah’s other loves were camping, hiking, gardening, anything behind a boat, BYU football and the Utah Jazz. Her greatest memories were fishing and spending time with family and those she loved.
Sarah is survived by her parents, older brother Travis (Karri) Beckstead, younger sisters Amanda (Brad) Lamb, Samantha (DJ) Ransom and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Max and Carma Beckstead, and Max and Ruby Ray, an uncle Larry Ray, an aunt Nancy Ray and a cousin Ryan Crossman.
The Beckstead family would like to thank all the kind staff at FCMC as well as the amazing care team at McKay Dee Hospital ICU. Special thanks to Ashly Drake RN for the way she went above and beyond for Sarah while in her care.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and never lost her testimony of her Savior. Sarah’s laughter, light, and love will remain in our hearts forever. Aloha Until we meet again.
