Ruby Fay Preston Edwards

Ruby Fay Preston Edwards, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully after a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Ruby was born September 7, 1938, in Carson, California, to Ernest and Helen Preston. She was raised in Carson and later made Preston, Idaho, part of her home, living between California and Preston throughout her life.

Ruby’s faith was an important part of her life. Alongside her husband Dennis, she served a mission in Peru for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In her final years, Ruby made her home at Heritage Home in Preston, where she was surrounded by caring staff and friends.

Ruby will be remembered not only for the years she lived, but for the love she gave. Her greatest legacy lives on through her 6 children, 23 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply, but who will carry her love, her faith, and her example forward.

A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 12:30 p.m. at the LDS East Stake Building 310 North State Street in Preston, Idaho. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
