Roland Jay Hodges

Roland Jay Hodges, 95, passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2018 in Preston, Idaho. He was the widower of Beverly Jane Hodges. They shared 43 years together. Born in Logan, Utah, he was the youngest of six children born to Abraham and Hannah Hodges of Lewiston, Utah. He attended North Cache High School, served in WWII, and then was a construction engineer, farmer and rancher throughout his life.  He also owned several small businesses.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed horticulture, entrepreneurship, and mostly being with his family. He will be remembered by most for his sense of humor, and is renowned for possessing toughness, pragmatism, steadfastness, and patriotism. He is loved mostly for his sense of giving to others.

He is survived by sons Kim, Justin and Todd, daughter, DeAnna, and six grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and his son Terry.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm at Webb Funeral Home, and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home Interment will be in the Lewiston City Cemetery, Utah.
