After the death of Cleone in 1989, Reid married Christine Masquelier on February 21, 1991 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  They made their home in Logan.

Reid was a proud, life-long labor unionist.  His career spanned over 30 years with the Communications Workers of America.  He began as a shop steward and for the last 10 years of his career, he was the head contract negotiator for thousands of Pacific Bell and General Telephone employees.   He continued his involvement with the union after retirement and was a past president of the Cache Democrats.

Reid is preceded in death by his wife Cleone, his parents, his brother Gary, and a cousin Phil Perry.  He is survived by his wife, Christine, his brother, Rod Pearce, his sister,  Linda Palmer, both of Preston and his children Terri Gass (Jim) Logan, Cindy Humphreys (Rick) Logan and Todd (Sheryl) Chino Hills CA.  He has 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  He has 6 nephews and 7 nieces whom he loved dearly.  All who knew him will miss him.
