Peggy Ann Tripp Murray

Peggy Ann Tripp Murray 89, passed away in the comfort of her home on August 15^th, 2023. Peggy was born on July 29^th, 1934, in the family home on the Tripp farm in Richmond UT, to Venise and Zina Tripp.

After graduating from high school, she began to work at Walker Bank in Salt Lake City, UT. Later she met her husband Loren, where they were married August 25^th, 1958, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised eight children. 

Growing up on the farm gave her a love of horses, gardening, and everything outdoors. Peggy’s favorite hobby was working in her flower beds which became known as The Murray Park.

Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. She served various positions and especially loved working with the boys in the scouting program. Peggy loved to serve others with any needs. She became known as the mother of the neighborhood.

Peggy is survived by her children; Douglas, Read (Cindy), Geishaye (Paul)Thain, Dean (Lanette), Karen (Randon)Lowe, Robert (Tami), LeAnn, and James. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, fifty- one great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Loren, her siblings Boyd and Doris Lee as well as grandson-in-law Shane Pitcher and a great granddaughter Kyndlee Jorgensen.

We would like to give a special thank you to her caregivers Starla, Rachel, and the Sunshine Hospice Team along with the neighbors and friends that would stop by to check on her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the City Creek Ward Chapel, 150 S. 100 E., Richmond, Utah.  Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both at the church.  Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
