Paul David Halverson, 90, was born on July 7, 1935, in Bingham Canyon, Utah and passed away on November 05, 2025 in his home in Richmond, Utah.
Paul went to Jordan High School where he joined the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Club. For his project, he raised a prize-winning Pedigreed Chester White pig named Daisy Mae. Daisy Mae won first and Grand Champion ribbons at the Utah State Fair. Paul graduated in 1953 from Jordan High school.
Paul served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints in New Zealand from October 16, 1955, until May 24, 1958. While a missionary he helped with the construction of the New Zealand temple and after its dedication was able to serve as an ordinance worker.
In 1959 Paul was drafted into the US Army. He was stationed in Friedberg, Germany for most of his service.
After the Army, he obtained his pilot’s license and later attended Utah State University where he was initiated in the Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Society and was on the Dean’s List as an outstanding student. He received his Bachelor’s degree in June 1971.
He married Agnes Eileen Mahony in her home in Dillingham Alaska on June 28,1974. He later continued his education and received his Master’s Degree from Central Missouri State University.
Paul worked as an Instructor of Airframe and Power Plant Mechanics at both Maplewood’s Community College in Kansas City Missouri and at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Later he was an inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration in Cleveland, Ohio.
Paul and Agnes have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. He loved his family, airplanes, and traveling.
Preceding Paul in death are his parents Harvey Halverson and Signe Elizabeth (Beth) Holmes, and brother Leland Halverson.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; children, Hansel (Amanda), Beth (Kevin), David (Brianne), Peter (Jennifer); grandchildren Ari, Alice, Maya, Benjamin, Lucy, Connor, Sara, Sadie, Noah, Freja, Ian, Lars; and siblings Eugene and Vivian, and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing (12:30 pm) and funeral services (2pm) will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 150 South 100 East Richmond, UT on Saturday November 08, 2025. The burial will follow at the Richmond cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com. In lieu of flowers, please hug your loved ones a little longer than usual.
