Patric Alan Powell

Patric Powell, long time resident of Preston, Idaho passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022 surrounded by family. Patric was born October 13, 1944 in Yakima, Washington. He was the second of 5 children born to Opal Verina Riggs and Rolan Duane Powell. Patric’s father was a test pilot so they moved around but called Hollywood, California home. 

Patric served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mexico. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He attended Utah State University and later became a teacher. 

Patric contributed to the Preston community by helping others in need. He had a brilliant mind and was able to figure out how to accomplish any task. He used his gifts to help his Spanish speaking friends. He in return was served by those friends in his later years. 

Patric is survived by his children Ashlie, April, Brooke, Jeffrey and Natalie. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Phillips, Pamela Gilbert and his brother, Peter Powell. Patric was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Penelope Higgins.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 6 pm at the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State Street, Preston, Idaho. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
