After retiring, Julie and Mike served a mission in Salt Lake, Utah, Headquarters mission. After his return home, he worked as an ordinance worker in the Logan, Utah, Temple. When he wasn’t busy, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family on the water fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters. He was survived by his wife, Julie Stenberg; his daughters, Aimee (Morgan) Rick, and Aubree Ann Stenberg; grandchildren, Ataree LaRae, Taj Michael, and Sonjalee Vera Rick.
