Mary Ann Ransom

Mary Ann Ransom 68, wife, mother, grandma, aunt, and friend was reunited with her loved ones in heaven after a hard fought battle with cancer. Mary was born and raised in Everett, Washington. She moved to Preston where she met the love of her life, Lynn Ransom. Lynn and Mary were married May 12, 1972, together they raised three children.

Mary spent her life working in the public. She worked for Johnson Drug, where she made many lifelong friends. Later, Lynn and Mary bought Ransoms Country Store which they owned for 29 years. Mary was a friend and grandma to everyone. She had a way with people, even if she was telling you something you didn't want to hear. Customers loved sharing their lives with her. She loved social hour at the gym every morning and spending time with her grandkids. Mary and Lynn enjoyed traveling to new places but she loved going home to Washington to see her family the most. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Eleanor Hendrickson, her brothers Charles Hendrickson, Ron (Sharon) Hendrickson, John (Kay) Hendrickson and her sister Viola (Michael) Lockhart of Washington, and grandson Jordan Atkinson of Malad, Idaho. She is survived by her husband Lynn Ransom, sons Garen (Kathleen) Atkinson of Malad, Idaho, Richard (Colette) Ransom of Banida, Idaho, and daughter Kari (Shawn) Greaves of Preston, Idaho, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the 10th Ward LDS Chapel,155 No. 200 West Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Preston and Tuesday from 10:00-11:30 at the church.  Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
