Mary Eugena Carpenter Nielsen

Mary Eugena Nielsen passed away on August 15, 2026, just shy of her 85th birthday, at the Franklin County Transitional Care Unit. She was born on August 28, 1941, in Preston, Idaho, to Adam and Orris Carpenter. She was the youngest of their 10 children.

Mary enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the choir, spending time with her family, and camping. She was very active in the Church and always cherished the time she was able to spend in the temple.

Mary had five children, who loved her dearly and know she is happy to be reunited with her loving husband Jim, her parents, and her nine siblings.

She is survived by her children, Scott Bingham (Lucinda), Bonnie Johnson (Tedd), Sid Bingham (Shelby), Cheryl Shepherd (Eric) Corrie Bingham (Charlie), 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
