Marilyn B. Priestley, 81, passed away on December 16th, 2025, at the Franklin County Medical Center surrounded by love from both sides of the veil. Marilyn was born on April 27, 1944, in Preston, Idaho to George and Elsie Bodily. She graduated from Preston High School class of 1962. After meeting Leon Priestley at a single adult activity, and a short engagement they were sealed for time and all eternity on September 22, 1965, in the Logan, Utah temple. Marilyn and Leon made their home in Preston. She was a devoted mother to her children who were her pride and joy until they provided her with grandchildren and great grandchildren who quickly took over that title. While she raised her children, she was blessed to stay at home with them by providing daycare for other kids who she treated as her own. Marilyn later worked at the Plaza Motel and then as a CNA at FCMC nursing home and hospital where she was known to bring laughter and happiness to all. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in a variety of callings. She especially loved serving in the primary.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Kristi (Grant) Ziegler of Kearns, Utah. Four children, DeAnn (Brent) Wilson, Curtis Priestley, Michelle Priestley each of Preston, Idaho and Jill (Paul) Young of West Jordan, Utah. 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, each of whom made her extremely proud and were a blessing in her life. She was preceded in death by Leon, her sweetheart of over 60 years. Her parents George and Elsie, two sisters Sharon Derricott, Julene Kowallis, and a brother Scott Bodily.
