Maria D. Sanchez Camacho

It is with profound sadness and endless love that we announce the passing of Maria D. Sanchez Camacho, who entered eternal rest on May 11, 2026, at the young age of 52. Maria was born on May 6, 1974, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Forever remembered as “una guerrera fuerte de Dios” whose love and strength touched every life she encountered.

Maria passed peacefully and painlessly surrounded by her family and loved ones in her home, embraced with love until her final moments.

Maria was the loving daughter of Maria del Carmen Camacho and Rafael Sanchez, and the devoted wife of Felipe Estrada Manzano. Above all else, Maria treasured her family. She is survived by her children: Felipe Sanchez Estrada (Vivian), Rosalinda Sanchez Camacho (Alfredo), and Brian Estrada (Chloey). She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Anthony, Divinity, Ezekiel, Santiago, and Novalynn, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

She is also survived by six siblings and her parents.

Maria is now reunited in heaven with her beloved grandchildren who preceded her in passing, her sister, as well as her cherished grandmother, “Mama Lola,” whom she loved deeply and often spoke of with tenderness.

Maria worked as a nurse in Mexico before moving to the United States, dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and kindness. She was also known as an incredible cook whose kitchen was always full of warmth, laughter, and delicious meals. No one ever left her home hungry, unheard, or unloved. She had a rare gift for making people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for.

She loved singing but especially loved singing to her grandchildren who loved to hear their “Bita” or “Tata” calm them down and put them to sleep. She also loved cooking, caring for her plants, reading the Bible, writing poetry, scrapbooking, camping, and especially spending time with the people she loved most. Maria carried a strong character and resilient spirit, always putting others before herself and teaching those around her the meaning of unconditional love, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Maria also carried an unwavering faith in Heavenly Father and was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith gave her strength through life’s trials and brought comfort and peace to those around her.

One of her favorite sayings was: “El tiempo no está en el reloj, está en las manos.” Her life reflected those words beautifully as she spent her time loving, serving, comforting, and building memories with the people around her.

Her favorite song, “Ríos de Babylonia” by Banda Toro, and the comforting words of Psalm 23 will forever remind us of her faith, strength, and enduring love.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love will continue to guide us every day. Maria’s memory will live on in every shared meal, every song sung with family, every blooming plant, every camping trip, and every act of love and kindness done in her honor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E. Preston, Idaho. Viewings will be held on Thursday from 6-8 pm and again Friday prior to the services from 11:30-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Preston Idaho Cemetery. Con profunda tristeza y un amor infinito anunciamos el fallecimiento de María D. Sánchez Camacho, quien entró en descanso eterno el 11 de mayo de 2026, a la joven edad de 52 años. María nació el 6 de mayo de 1974 y fue una amada esposa, madre, abuela, hija, hermana y amiga — recordada para siempre como “una guerrera fuerte de Dios” — cuyo amor y fortaleza tocaron cada vida que encontró.

María partió en paz y sin dolor, rodeada de su familia y seres queridos en su hogar, abrazada con amor hasta sus últimos momentos.

María fue la amada hija de María del Carmen Camacho y Rafael Sánchez, y la devota esposa de Felipe Estrada Manzano. Sobre todo, María valoraba profundamente a su familia. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Felipe Sánchez Estrada (Vivian), Rosalinda Sánchez Camacho (Alfredo) y Brian Estrada (Chloey). También fue una orgullosa y amorosa abuela de Anthony, Divinity, Ezekiel, Santiago y Novalynn, quienes trajeron una alegría inconmensurable a su vida.

María ahora se ha reunido en el cielo con sus amados nietos que fallecieron antes que ella, su hermana, así como su querida abuela “Mama Lola”, a quien amaba profundamente y de quien hablaba con mucha ternura.

María trabajó como enfermera en México antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, dedicando su vida a cuidar a los demás con compasión y bondad. También era conocida por ser una cocinera increíble, cuya cocina siempre estaba llena de calidez, risas y deliciosas comidas. Nadie salía de su hogar con hambre, sin ser escuchado o sin sentirse amado. Tenía un don especial para hacer que las personas se sintieran seguras, bienvenidas y cuidadas.

Le encantaba cantar, pero especialmente cantarles a sus nietos, quienes amaban escuchar a su “Bita” o “Tata” calmarlos y ayudarles a dormir. También disfrutaba cocinar, cuidar sus plantas, leer la Biblia, escribir poesía, hacer álbumes de recortes, ir de campamento y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con las personas que más amaba. María tenía un carácter fuerte y un espíritu resiliente, siempre poniendo a los demás antes que a sí misma y enseñando a quienes la rodeaban el significado del amor incondicional, el sacrificio y la perseverancia.

María también llevaba una fe inquebrantable en nuestro Padre Celestial y era una devota miembro de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días. Su fe le dio fuerza a través de las pruebas de la vida y trajo consuelo y paz a quienes la rodeaban.

Uno de sus dichos favoritos era: “El tiempo no está en el reloj, está en las manos.” Su vida reflejó hermosamente esas palabras — dedicó su tiempo a amar, servir, consolar y crear recuerdos con las personas a su alrededor.
