Manuel Davila Martinez

Manuel Davila Martinez, 59, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2017 in Preston, Idaho. He was born on March 22, 1957 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Arturo Davila Vega and Consuelo Martinez.

Manuel lived his life working hard to care for his family and meet their needs. Manuel was a very selfless person and was always content with what life had given him. Family parties were his favorite as were his trips to Mexico. He was an excellent mechanic and could get any old truck running. It didn't matter how ugly it was, when he got it running it was a beauty. He enjoyed planting and working in his garden. He joined the LDS Church and loved serving others and his Savior. He was a friend to all who met him and was always willing to help and share what he had. He will be missed as will his devotion to his family, his church and his friends.

He is survived by his wife Dominga, his children David, Gildardo, Areli, Sarai, and Ruth, as well as 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitney LDS Chapel, 1410 South 1600 East in Preston. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
