Lucille Clark Roberts

Lucille passed away October 2,2026 at the age of 97. Lucille passed peacefully and many family and friends were able to visit her and express their love for her. She was ready to be reunited with her family, and there were many there to greet her.

Lucille was born at home September 6, 1929 in Alpine, Utah the 11th child of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, George E Clark and Belle Wilkins Clark; all of her brother's and sister's; her children, Sharlene, Gary and Dale and her husband Kenneth Roberts.

Lucille was a long time resident of Preston, Idaho. She married Kenneth Roberts in 1947 in the SLC temple. They had three children and moved to Preston about 1958. After her children were in school, Lucille worked various jobs including at the café in the bowling alley and her last job was as a custodian with Utah Power & Light. Lucille was a faithful and diligent member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving many in her ward and community.

After her retirement Lucille continued to work hard taking care of her special needs boys and she became a Volunteer at the Hospital where she loved helping with the blood drives, making corn pops for the Bake Sales and helping at the fair.

Lucille kept a beautiful yard and garden, she loved flowers, which were evident if you saw her yard. She was a great neighbor and friend to everyone she met, she could talk to anyone, she was kind and fun to be around. Lucille was happiest when she was busy.

Lucille loved to travel and enjoyed anything musical. As a family they loved to camp, boat and snowmobile. Having two special needs sons Lucille was a dedicated mother and made sure they had good experiences.

Lucille was happiest when she was busy, she loved visiting friends, working on puzzles, doing word finds, going shopping, keeping her home beautiful, getting her hair done every week, and keeping herself looking beautiful. But most of all she loved people! Lucille could talk to anyone, and she would make them feel like family.

As Lucille got older and needed extra help she moved into the Heritage Senior Living Center in Preston where she was loved and well cared for. She enjoyed the activities, the employees and other residents. Lucille loved those that came to visit her. She looked forward to her special friend Tina Fryar taking her to get her hair done every Thursday, followed by lunch and a ride. She loved going for rides and enjoying the beauty around her.

She looked forward to and enjoyed her weekly visits from her long-term "Hone Teacher" and great friend, Richard Swainston every Sunday. We want to thank all of those that took such loving care of her at the Heritage, she loved each of them. We also want to thank those with Franklin County Hospice that took such special care of her end-of-life needs. Thank you to all her friends that were such a large part of her life. She loved each of you.
