Lois Housley

Lois Bingham Housley, 86, passed away on October 30, 2017 at the Heritage Senior Living Center in Preston, Idaho.  She was born August 16, 1931, in Preston, Idaho the daughter of Heber Raymond and Emma Rich Bingham.  She married George Glade Housley on July 21, 1950 in the Logan Utah Temple. After 67 years of marriage, Glade preceded her in death just twenty days ago.

 

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She loved visiting teaching.  She served a mission with her husband as Farm Service Missionaries. She was a devoted mother of ten children-and partner in marriage. Her family was very important to her. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and enjoyed family gatherings.  She always had a great sense of humor.  She worked alongside her husband helping out on the farm and doing the books for his masonry business.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She is survived by four daughters and six sons, Janine Housley of St. George, Utah; Joan Housley of Tucson, Arizona; Allan Glade (Robin) Housley of Pomerene, Arizona; Wayne Raymond (Linda) Housley of Sahuarita, Arizona; Dale Fred Housley of Flora Vista, New Mexico; Michael Lynn (Polly) Housley of St. George, Utah; Christine Nushart of Kenai Peninsula, Alaska; David Lawrence Housley of Sahuarita, Arizona; James Brent Housley of Hurricane, Utah; Teresa Housley of Oxnard, California; 33 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and by two brothers and two sisters, Fred Rich Bingham of Linrose, Idaho; Vera Bingham O’Brien of Providence, Utah; Carl Wallace (Joyce) Bingham of Linrose, Idaho; and Gladys Bingham (Juan) Allred of St. George, Utah.  She was preceded in death by her husband, by her parents, by five brothers and two sisters, Arnold Raymond Bingham, Heber Glenn Bingham, Dean Rich Bingham, Ruth Bingham Rawlings, Katherine Bingham Pinegar, Eldon Ben Bingham, Lyman Dunbar Bingham; and by two grandchildren, Wendy Housley and William Glade Lux.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dayton Ward LDS Chapel in Dayton, Idaho.  Friends may call Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
