Lillian Novella Brown

April 1, 1942 — October 10, 2015

Lillian Novella Brown

After 60 days  apart, our dear sweet mother, Lillian Novella Ford Brown, is once again dancing with her true love. She passed away October 10, 2015, in Preston, Idaho, of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). She was born April 1, 1942, an April Fool’s baby, in Lowell, Benton County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Dallas Andrew Ford and Laura Lillian Garvin Ford. She was the 10th of 12 children. She moved with her family to California in 1952.

On May 12, 1962, Lillian married the love of her life, Louis Dale Brown, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on May 25, 1976. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1971 and then to Preston, Idaho, in 2004.

Lillian and Louis were parents to John and Sally Brown, Tonia Brown, and Sondra and Ken Thornley; grandparents to Vaughn and Jo Brown, Khyleigh Brown, Zak Thornley, and Alex Thornley; and step-grandparents to Brandy Ghan and Debby Kremin.

Lillian loved her family, playing family games, throwing big parties, cooking, shopping at the D.I., and antique shopping. Her favorite thing was to tell us a story.

She is survived by her children; grandchildren; brothers, Lane (Dorothy), Carl (Araceli), Dallas (Fran), and Clinton (Reda); and sisters-in-law, Frances and Lera. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Darrell, Glen, Allen, Charlie, Dale, and Gerald; and her sister, Louise.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 12:15 pm in the Preston Fifth Ward LDS chapel, 213 South 200 East, Preston, Idaho, with Bishop Kevin Ostler conducting. A viewing will be held before the service at 10:45-11:45 am at the church. Interment will be in the Smithfield, Utah, cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
