Lex Russell Lewis

Preston, Idaho - - - Lex R. Lewis

Preston - Lex Russell Lewis, "Sexy Lexy" left this world and entered into the arms of his loving wife Donee on January 19, 2009. He was born June 24, 1935 in Richmond, Utah to Ulys "Ute" and Rebecca Roskelley Lewis. He grew up in a loving home with three older brothers, Willis, Lowell, and Jed. He also had a sister Ruth who died as a child. He lived an energetic childhood playing adventurous imaginative games, most of the time ending with a life lesson he would always retell his grandchildren later in life. Lex grew up helping his father out with the family business in Richmond, Utah, Ute's Dairy. He saved up enough money to buy his very own car at the age of 13.

He graduated from North Cache High School in the class of 1953. He actively participated in making sure the girls all noticed him, which earned him the nickname "Sexy Lexy." He soon met his true soul mate Doree Corbridge. They fell madly in love and were married July 7, 1955. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple. They loved each other so much they were remarried almost every anniversary. They started their family with a son Lee, who was followed by another son Todd. Finishing their dreams of a daughter, Traci was the last to join their family.

Lex owned and operated many family businesses. During this time he and his family moved across the country living in many various states eventually coming back to Preston. After the kids finished high school, the two love birds moved to Las Vegas, Nevada but again returned to Preston making it their permanent residence. Throughout his life Lex enjoyed many hobbies. One in particular was wood working. He also enjoyed hunting and being in the mountains. But his passion in life was his Cadillac's. Grandpa Lex was a great and caring grandfather that will be missed by all hid grandchildren. They will all miss the songs he used to sing to them that always made them smile.

He is survived by his children, Lee (Diane) Lewis, of Preston; Todd Lewis, Las Vegas, NV; Traci (Doug) Doney, of Boise, ID; grandchildren, LeAnn (John) Allen, Jennifer (Josh) Rowland, Laci (Jessie) Smith, Brackin Doney, Stetson Lewis, Tyler "Bubba" Lewis, and Bailey Lewis; great grandchildren Tori, Cage, and Gaven Allen, Ashton and Zoey Rowland, Seth, Dominic, and Paisley, Smith; many nieces and nephews and a great circle of close friends.
