Vienne - LaVon Skidmore Goodsell died on Friday, May 22, 2009 in Vienna, Virginia. She was born in Sugar City, Idaho on August 8, 1911. She was a long time resident of Arlington, Virginia and Kensington, Maryland.
All her life she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Temple Ordinance Worker in the Washington, D.C. Temple for 25 years. She served as a school teacher in Idaho, and served as a ballroom dance instructor and beautician in Virginia.
She is survived by her four children, Neil Goodsell, Glen Goodsell, Steve Goodsell and Katherine Bradford. She also has 18 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie Daniel Goodsell a native of Weston, Idaho, who died on January 1, 1974.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Weston, Idaho LDS Chapel with Bishop Darrin Thornley conducting. Friends may call Saturday from 1:00-1:45 at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemtery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
