Julia Ann Tippetts Ward, 76, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on July 3, 2023 after a 30 year battle with breast cancer. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her family at her home in Richmond, Utah. She was born April 17, 1947 to Reed Hill Tippetts and Venna Tarbet Tippetts in Salt Lake City, Utah. Julie grew up in Smithfield, Utah and was part of the first graduating class of Sky View High School in 1965. She attended Utah State University where she met Wyndon Glen Ward. They were married on September 8, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Julie graduated from USU in elementary education in 1968 and taught school for 44 years. She taught at Providence Elementary, Summit Elementary in Smithfield, Park Elementary in Richmond, North Cache Middle School, and White Pine Middle School until she retired in 2012. She taught just about every grade and subject from kindergarten to 8th grade. She loved teaching and loved being able to go to school with her kids and be home with them in the summer.

Julie and Wyn taught their kids and grandchildren the value of hard work, education, and serving others. Julie served in various capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life, including supporting Wyn as he served as bishop three different times, and as a temple worker at the Logan Temple. She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities and attended hundreds of games, concerts, musicals, and recitals.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Wyn, her parents, her brother Michael, and her grandson, Braxton. She is survived by her children Lori Ann (Erik) Durrant of Richmond, Utah; Michael Wyndon (Jaime) Ward of Highland, Utah; Daren Reed (Jennifer) Ward of Lehi, Utah; and Bradley David (Shannon) Ward of Smithfield, Utah.
