Judy Lee Geertsen

Judy Lee Geertsen, 72, passed away on June 5, 2016, in Roy, Utah, at her daughter Jennifer’s home with her family at her side. Judy was born on June 19, 1943, to Harry Meyers Hill Sr. and Gladys Sarah Ellen Dixon in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She was the oldest of three children and grew up in Delano, California, and Ogden, Utah. She married Stephen Geertsen on July 8, 1979, in Elko, Nevada.

Judy was a loving and caring person who opened her heart and home to anyone.  She was outgoing and would talk to everyone, strangers becoming friends. Judy knew how to stay positive and was an example to everyone of Christ-like qualities even in the toughest times.

She is greatly missed by her children, Melanie (Daymond) Phelps, Eddie Dean Price, Rod (Karen) Price, Laura Johnson, Kristin (Roger) Bigelow, Brandon (Cyndi) Balls and Jennifer (Scott) Becker. Judy was blessed with 28 grand children and 26 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her loving siblings Shirley Jellin (San Bruno, California) and Harry Meyers Hill Jr. (Salt Lake City, Utah), plus several half brothers and sisters from Arizona. She is also survived by her step-mother Shirley Pope of Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Steve, her son, Kevin Price and her grandson, Mason Balls.

The family would like to thank Access Home Care and Hospice, Options for Independence and Dr. Barton Avery and his staff for their years of dedicated, kind service.

Services will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at the New Life Fellowship, 2045 N. 800 E. North Logan, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
