DAYTON- Joy R. Becket, 82, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Brookline, Massachusetts, the daughter of Gustov Heinrich and Mary Irene Fitzgerald Rathgeber.
Joy loved classical music, knitting, and going for walks. She also loved flowers.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Barbara (Hal) Browne of Dayton; Betty (Earle) Williams, West Covina, California; David (Uschi) Gassett of Redfield, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
An open house will be held in Joy's honor on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, from noon to 4 p.m. at her daughter's (Barbara Browne) home, 1006 N. Westside Hwy, Dayton, Idaho. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
