As a child Joseph was raised by his father Robb Walker and his mother Kristie Bullard in the Clearfield area in Utah. Joseph was a very energetic and curious child. In high school Joseph excelled in Art, he ran cross country, and was the best chess player in the chess club. Joseph graduated with high GPA.

After graduation,  Joseph served a full time LDS mission in Geneva, Switzerland. He came home fluent in the French language.

After his mission, Joseph joined the United States Army and served as Airborne Special Forces, First Battalion, 3rd group at Fort Bragg, NC. He was a 35P/Cryptologic linguist, French. He served in combat for operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan, and for operation Juniper Shield in Africa (four different deployments from 2014-2019). He logged over 20 sorties combining to over 250 hours logged in flight time. He was awarded the ‘Army Commendation Medal’ for his dedication to duty and selfless service to himself and 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne). His actions, under enemy fire, lead directly to 450 operators on the ground getting real time, vital tactical interception, and decryption of messages from the enemy. Joseph left the military with a general Honorable discharge but left prematurely due to ongoing emotional and physical problems.
