John G. Mills IV

John G Mills IV, 23, passed away on March 21st 2026, in Preston, Idaho from injuries sustained from a car accident. John, who went by “J” to family and friends, was born on June 4th, 2002, in Logan, Utah to John III and Jennifer (Sparrow) Mills.

John is survived by his parents, John G III and Jennifer Rae (Sparrow) Mills of Cumming, Georgia; three siblings James William, Jakub Hansen, and Jessika Renee of Cumming, Georgia; grandparents John G Jr and Krystal (Larsen) Mills of Cliton, Utah, and Marvin Hansen and Debbie (Campbell) Sparrow of Linrose, Idaho. John is preceded in death by his grandma JoAnn (Francis) Sparrow.

John lived in Utah, Idaho, California, and Georgia. He graduated from North Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia, where he participated in marching band, choir, and FBLA.

John was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He graduated from early morning seminary, where he had perfect attendance for five years. He served a mission for his church in the Idaho Pocatello mission from August 2022 to August 2024.

John was attending Brigham Young University - Idaho, where he was majoring in biology.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at 12 pm at the Dayton Idaho LDS Church, 825 N. Westside Hwy., Dayton, Idaho. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. and the Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
