Jody H Womack

Jody Womack, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on August 30, 2026. Born on June 24, 1967, in Preston, Idaho, to Ronald True Womack and Thelma Harker Womack. He was preceded in death by his dear brother Seth, and his grandparents Leslie and Lettie Harker, and Darrell and Bertha Womack.

Jody’s life was a testament to faith, dedication, and love. He married his eternal companion, Tonja Lee Clayton Womack, on July 1, 1989, a union that was sealed for all time and eternity. Over their remarkable 37-year marriage, they were blessed with seven children and fifteen grandchildren, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to Jody’s life.

After graduating from Preston High School, Jody pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources. His professional journey began humbly at the age of 11, working on his family’s dairy farm. By 22, he had transitioned to the La-Z-Boy factory in Box Elder County, where he worked diligently for ten years. He later flourished as a retail manager and human resource manager, roles in which he touched many lives with his kindness and integrity.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jody served a full-time mission in Argentina, an experience that deepened his faith and his love for the Spanish language. Throughout his life, he held various callings within the Church, always eager to serve his community and share his testimony of Christ. Jody also embraced the Boy Scouts program, first as a Scout and later as an adult leader, instilling values of service and leadership in young minds.

Jody’s passions were as diverse as they were profound. He found joy in gardening, woodworking, upholstery, and fishing, often in the company of his children and grandchildren. An artist at heart, Jody appreciated both creating and admiring art, finding beauty in every stroke and color. His unique ability to learn languages was matched only by his willingness to serve and uplift those around him. Known for his dry, morbid, and sarcastic sense of humor, Jody brought laughter and light to everyone around him.

A public viewing to honor and celebrate Jody’s remarkable life will be held on September 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Webb Funeral Home, located at 1005 S 800 E, Preston, ID 83263.
