Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Jennifer Rebecca Blais Winward, returned to her Heavenly Father on April 28, 2025, in Preston, Idaho, at the age of 50. She was born on May 21, 1974, in Laconia, New Hampshire, to Eugene and Bernice Blais.
Jennifer was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. Her most cherished role was as Young Women’s President—a calling close to her heart, especially as a mother of three sons who always dreamed of having daughters. She found great joy in guiding and loving the young women in her ward, and they loved her deeply in return.
Jennifer married the love of her life, Rulon Max Winward, on May 5th, 1994, in the Washington DC Temple, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and service. She was the proud mother of three sons: Michael Max Winward, Alex Blais Winward, and Jordan Kobe Winward. Her sons were her greatest joy, and if you ever stopped by the soda shop where she worked after her boys left the house, chances are you left knowing something wonderful about each of them. Sending all three of her boys on full-time missions—and welcoming them home safely—was her proudest accomplishment.
Jennifer had a heart full of service, traveling to the Dominican Republic to help build schools and support children in need, or helping her family and friends. She was also fiercely proud of her hunting skills and never let anyone forget that she was the only one in the family who never missed a shot.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rulon Max Winward; her sons, Michael, Alex, and Jordan Winward; her mother, Bernice Blais; her mother-in-law, Dana Winward; her brothers Carl Blais, Scott Blais, and Richard Richardson; her sisters Ann Richardson Verschoor, Donna Richardson Timmins, and Brenda Blais Kenney; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Blais; her sister, Susan Richardson Tolscer; and her brothers Tony Richardson and Dennis Blais.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel, 165 W. 4800 S. Preston, Idaho. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 pm at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E. Preston, Idaho and again prior to the service Friday from 9:30-10:30 am at the church. Interment will be in the Whitney Idaho Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
