Janice Jorgensen Andrus

Janice Jorgensen Andrus, 88, passed away August 23, 2022 at her home in Richmond, Utah.  She was born December 16, 1933,  in Delta Utah to Theodore and Mamie Jorgensen. Soon after the family moved to Cache Valley, to a small farm in Amalga where they welcomed Janice’ only sibling, T. Wayne. Janice attended Summit elementary, Smithfield Jr. High and Graduated from North Cache High School. Janice loved growing up and working on the farm, playing with all of her cousins.  Janice loved music and played the violin and piano. Her other favorite past times were playing softball, sketching, dancing, reading, playing cards, reading poetry but her favorite was playing golf!

Through the years she lived in Delta, Amalga, Logan, Paris France and Richmond. Janice married Joseph Dale Andrus (Andy) in the Logan Temple and they had 4 children. Valerie, Jacqueline, Cheri and Michael Dale. She was widowed early in life but didn’t let that slow her down. She worked at CC Andersons, Beeline Fashion, L.D.’s Café, ZCMI, Dillards, North Cache Middle School and retired from White Pine Middle School. Her favorite past time was following all her grandkids and great-grandkids in all their sports or other adventures. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved serving in her different callings.

Janice was proceeded in death by her parents Ted & Mamie, in-laws Wray & Joe, her beloved husband Andy, daughter Valerie and Granddaughter Kinsey. She is survived by her brother Wayne & Donna Jorgensen, son-in-law Larry Hatch, daughter Jackie, daughter Cheri & Robert Housley and son Mike & Cheri Andrus. 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and loving nieces and nephews. Mom/Grandma has left a big hole in our lives but the wonderful memories will live on forever.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Richmond 4^th Ward Chapel, 150 S. 100 E., Richmond, Utah.  Viewings will be held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. both at the church.  She will be laid to rest in the Richmond Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
