PRESTON, IDAHOJIM PALMERPRESTON- James Robert Palmer, 67, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston after a valiant battle with progressive palsy. He was born Nov. 9, 1940, in Williston, North Dakota, the son of Lewis William and Laura Fisketjon Palmer. He married Linda Pearce on February 14, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nevada.He lived in Preston most of his life. He was a mink rancher and loved his work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, and all type of family activities. He was a member of the Preston Elks Lodge and he loved to travel. He was a real gentleman.He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Preston; one son and two daughters, Lewis (Staci) Palmer of Preston; Michele (Jim) Payton of N. Ogden, Utah; Alison Palmer of Preston; eight grandchildren, and by a brother, Ron (Mern) Palmer of Preston. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Preston Community Presbyterian Church, 206 E. 2nd N., Preston, with Pastor Michael Butler officiating.
