Richmond, Utah J. Wade MortensenRichmond - James Wade Mortensen, 45, loving husband, father, and son, passed away December 19, 2008 in Smithfield, Utah. He was born April 11, 1963, the second of 10 children born to James Joel and Nancy Gee Mortensen. He married Stephanie Ann Howard, his eternal mate, on July 1, 1994 in the Manti LDS Temple. Wade attended school in Sugar City, Idaho. He graduated from Sugar Salem High School in 1981 after which he served an LDS mission to San Antonio, Texas. After returning from his mission he attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho where he earned associates degrees in Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings. He has worked in the Electronics field most recently for Yesco and was most proud of the installation of electronic signs and scoreboards at PacBell Stadium in San Francisco, California.He is survived by his wife Stephanie, of Richmond, and is the loving father of his four children James Garrett, Evan Michael, Jessica Nicole, and Branson Tate all of Richmond; also survived by his siblings, Jolene Mortensen, of Rexburg, ID; Steven (Kara) Mortensen, of Rexburg, ID; Roger (Michelle) Mortensen, Centennial, CO; Dee Anne (Tony) Marshall, Blackfoot, ID; Kerry (Rachel) Mortensen, San Jose, CA;, Blake (Tawny) Mortensen, Milford, UT; Quinn (Kristy) Morstensen, of Shelley, ID; Catherine (Robert) Fogg, of Wilder, ID; and Layel (Nicholas Pallessen, of New York, NY; parents James and Nancy Mortensen, of Rexburg, ID; and Thomas and Cindy Howard, of Nephi, UT. He was preceded in death by a daughter Maria Irene, his grandparents James Max and Zelda Robison Mortensen and LaFaun Orson and Theo Abbie Stephenson Gee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Richmond 2nd Ward Chapel, 150 South 100 East in Richmond, UT with Bishop Robert Whitman conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the church and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. also at the church. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
