INA D. BINGHAMPRESTON- Ina Elvira Durrant Bingham, 92, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, in Preston, Idaho. She was born Dec. 4, 1915, in Franklin, Idaho, to Thomas William and Elisabeth Martha Biggs Durrant. She married W. Grant Bingham on Nov. 3, 1937, in the Logan LDS Temple. They were together for 59 years.Ina lived in Franklin, Idaho until she and Grant were married. They made their home on Grant's dairy farm in Linrose, Idaho for 43 years. After their retirement in 1980, they moved to Preston for the remainder of her life. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker raising three sons and five daughters. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting. Ina loved music. She played the piano, the Hawaiian guitar and the organ. She loved to sing. In her younger years she had a beautiful soprano voice and performed at many church and civic programs with her sister, Beth. Later, she enjoyed singing in the Ward Choir and The Singing Mothers. She was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in all the auxiliary organizations as a teacher, organist, chorister and in several presidencies. She served in many different genealogy callings and loved doing research and serving in the temple. She always loved being a visiting teacher. After she retired and moved to Preston, she enjoyed 14 wonderful years as a piano teacher. She loved her students and loved to teach the music she enjoyed so much.Ina is survived by her eight children, Renee (Lou) Long of Brigham City, Utah; Darrell (Anita) Bingham of St. George, Utah; Lorna (Vern) Reeder of Spanish Fork, Utah; Donna Kuhlman of Phoenix, Arizona; Stanley (Rosie) Bingham of Preston; Joan Bingham of Arimo, Idaho; Margene (Lynn) Eskelson of Preston; Blair (Nichole) Bingham of Preston; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren and sixteen step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbandand by nine brothers and one sister.Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston 10th Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., Preston, with President Douglas Roper of the Legacy 1st Branch conducting. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
