Hernan Israel Suazo,
Born August 22, 1973 in Honduras, Hernan immigrated to the United States, and gained citizenship on November 22, 1999. Hernan is known to have lived in New Orleans, New York, Sioux City Iowa, Greeley Colorado, Fremont Nebraska, Trenton Utah, and Preston Idaho, where he was baptized and became a regular attendee in the Valley View Branch. Hernan passed away on March 13, 2026, in Logan Utah, from complications of Diabetes.
While in the branch, he enjoyed the fellowship of friends who welcomed his attendance and participation in branch functions and small group activities. Hernan especially like to play dominoes, card games, and leisurely kayaking at Foster reservoir. His favorite food was Domino’s pizza and lemonade.
In his final months he came to appreciate those who visited him in the nursing home, and his gratitude showed in his emotional thanks. Those who associated with him appreciated his usually cheerful demeanor and willingness to participate in church and social functions.
The members of the Valley View Branch and his friends in our community have been blessed because ‘God put him in our way’. Hernan will be missed.
