Hayden Paul Johnson

Rockland " Hayden Paul Johnson, age 18, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014 in Provo, Utah. He was born May 26, 1995 in El Paso, Texas, a beloved son of Paul Clark Johnson and Marianne Munk Johnson.

Hayden is survived by his parents, Paul and Marianne, of Rockland, Idaho; a brother, Quinn, of Provo Utah; and two sisters: Kirsten, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lauren of Rockland Idaho; a grandmother, Cheryl Geddes Johnson, of Provo Utah; grandparents Melvin Reed Munk and Sandy Pritchett Munk of St. George, Utah; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Hayden was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Kunzler Munk and his grandfather, Clark V. Johnson.

Hayden grew up primarily in Albuquerque NM attending Eldorado High School and completing his senior year of high school in Idaho at Rockland High School. He was a talented soccer player and violinist. He was proud to be a member of the Eldorado High Varsity soccer team who were State Champions his sophomore year. Hayden was also a violinist in the Albuquerque Youth Orchestra. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. At Rockland High he enjoyed being a member of the varsity basketball team. Hayden graduated from Rockland High School May 24, 2013. He moved to Provo, Utah where he worked at Venture Data and attended Utah Valley University. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Hayden will be remembered fondly by family, friends and all he met for his quick sense of humor, his contagious smile and his kind and gentle heart.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Rockland Ward LDS Chapel, 405 E. Shoshone, Rockland, Idaho. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Rockland Idaho.
