Gale grew up in Smithfield and Richmond, Utah, laughing and playing with the siblings he loved so dearly, while learning to work hard.  He graduated from North Cache High School.  Gale was drafted into the Army on February 6, 1951, and was discharged in May of 1953, after serving in Korea.  On May 25, 1955, Gale married Marva Dawn Spackman in the Logan LDS temple.  They made their home in Richmond, Utah where they raised their 4 children.

Gale was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, faithfully serving in several callings.  Gale served his community on the Richmond City Council, the Cemetery Board and the Water Board, and was instrumental in the creation of the Veterans’ Memorial in Richmond, Utah.  He also enjoyed his time as a member of the Richmond Rider’s Club.

Gale ran a very successful dairy farm with his brother, Fritz, for over 50 years, selling it to his neighbor and friend soon after the death of his brother.  His favorite hobby was visiting with people.  He lived a good long life and will be dearly missed.

Gale is survived by his children, Kellen (Adrienne) Alvey of Preston, Idaho; Tony (Shannon) Alvey of Richmond, Utah; Trudy (Brad) Mullins of Vernal, Utah; and Galen (Heather) Alvey of Richmond, Utah; by eight grandchildren, Brady, Devin, Derek, Bracken, Dylon, Whitney, Alec, Kelli Ann; and nine great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 9 siblings, and his wife.
