Frank Howard Pearson

Frank Howard Pearson, 90, passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2025 at his home in Fairview, ID.

Frank was born March 3rd, 1935 in Cornish, UT to Reynold Everett and Cordelia Stocks Pearson. He spent his childhood working hard alongside his family to make ends meet on the family farm.

He attended Electronics school in Kansas City, MO following graduation from North Cache High School. After returning home, he proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957. For two years he called the USS Saint Paul home. His tour included a campaign to the Orient. He was a Master Journeyman Electrician and a lifetime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Over the years he also was a farmer, overseeing both his parents’ farm as well as his own.

On April 24th, 1959 Frank married his sweetheart Janet Davis. They happily spent the next 65½ years together, setting a golden example of true love. They had three children: Jerry, Wendy, and Randy. Later in life he was blessed to meet his son Craig Heninger and step-daughter Deborah Meyer.

Frank loved the outdoors. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, and camping with his family, passing down his appreciation for the simple things in life. He traveled often for work as an electrician but spent weekends and summers working on the farm. He was a hard worker and he liked to work. His children worked alongside him, not liking it quite as much. He could fix anything and there was usually a honey do list waiting for him. Frank never complained and was genuinely happy to provide for his family, instilling a good work ethic in his children. His keen mind and sharp skills kept everything running smoothly. He personally worked the ground on his farm until he was 85 years old, and afterwards diligently checked up on it each day.

Frank was very easy going. He always had a smile and a sparkle in his eyes. He made friends wherever he went and had a quick wit that would take you by surprise. He was full of hard-earned wisdom that he quietly imparted to his children and grandchildren. His life stands as a shining example of what can be accomplished through hard work and determination.

Frank is survived by his daughter Wendy Eck (Ken) of Meridian, ID; son Randy Pearson of Pocatello, ID; step-daughter Deborah Meyer (Phil) of Aloha, OR; daughter-in-law Ruth Heninger of Corvallis, OR; sister Dorothy Waddoups of Salt Lake City, UT; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife Janet Pearson, sons Jerry Pearson and Craig Heninger, parents Reynold and Cordelia Pearson, brother Everett Pearson, sister Norma Dahl, and nephews Reed Snyder and Lyle Waddoups.
