Doreen married Reed Alden Johnson in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on June 16, 1947, after he returned home from his service in the Army. Doreen and Reed raised their family in Logan, Utah. They had three children, Ondrea McKee, Rudy Johnson and Roseanne Jensen. Doreen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and enjoyed serving in numerous callings throughout her life. She enjoyed serving as a stake missionary and as Gospel Principles teacher.
Doreen worked several years as a nurse’s aide in the Logan Hospital, where she loved helping and serving those she met. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and drives up the canyon with Reed. Doreen was an active member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Doreen and Reed were married 57 years before he passed away in 2004. Following the passing of her beloved husband, Doreen served as an LDS missionary in the Houston Texas South Mission from 2006-2007. She loved her time spent serving the wonderful people of that area.

The family would sincerely like to thank Lisa, Kamie, Hailey, Lindsay, Nate, Danny, and all at Rocky Mountain Healthcare, as well as Dr. Carlson and Terre, her senior companion, for the wonderful loving care they have given our sweet mom, grandma, and aunt.
