Dennis Cole Bosworth

Dennis Cole Bosworth, 77, passed away April 8, 2026, in Preston, Idaho. He was born on February 13, 1949, in Preston, Idaho, to Reid Cole Bosworth and Jenell Larsen Bosworth. He was raised in Preston and remained deeply connected to the community he loved.

Dennis graduated from Preston High School and went on to graduate from Utah State University in 1972 with a degree in Finance. He served for six years in the Idaho National Guard. He married Nancy Ann Rich June 9, 1971, in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

For many years, Dennis worked with his father at U&I Furniture in Preston, Idaho, a family business founded by his grandfather, Ephraim Bosworth. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for many years as a stake financial clerk and later as an executive secretary in three stake presidencies.

He enjoyed golf, fishing, road trips, caring for his home, mowing the lawn, gardening, and cooking, especially grilling. He was a nine-time club champion at Preston Golf and Country Club and took great pleasure in time spent on the golf course and in the outdoors. He was also known for his sense of humor.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Ryan Bosworth (April), Alison (Tobin McMurdie), and Scott Bosworth (Gera); nine grandchildren; sister, Mary; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reid Cole Bosworth and Jenell Larsen Bosworth.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both at Webb Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
