Dan C. McKay

Dan C McKay passed away on July 13, 2026, at home with family by his side. He was born September 29, 1950, in Preston Idaho. The son of Dale F and Peggy McKay. He married Jeanette Nash McKay April 30, 1971, in the Logan LDS Temple. He went to West Side High and USU. He joined the National Guard in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1976.

Dan and Jeanette bought his Dad’s farm in 1973 and sold it in 2006. He loved riding horses, hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing, dancing and traveling with Jeanette and Camping with his family.

Dan is survived by his wife Jeanette of 55 years, 3 sons Justin (Tara) of Middleton, Id, Rocky (Sherry) of Scottsdale AZ , Buckey (Jessica) of Preston, Id., 5 Grandchilden and many Nieces and Nephews, 2 sisters Sondra (Leon) Edwards of Whitney, Id and SynDee Christensen of Fairview, Id. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Van McKay, Scott Christensen a brother in law, Ross Lyon a brother in law, and John Hamilton a brother in law.

The family would like to thank Symbii Hospice Staff and Dr Bontrager for their gentle care of Dan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11 am at the Weston Idaho Chapel, 27 N. Center Street, Weston, Idaho 83286. Viewings will be held on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E. Preston, Idaho and again Friday prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
