On October 22, 2023 Dallas Myron White returned to his Heavenly home, his beautiful wife of 51 years by his side. Dallas was the most generous and kind man who would do anything to help those in need. His favorite song is “Because I have been given much I to must give” and he truly was an amazing example of that.
Dallas was born on August 17, 1949 in Afton, WY to Clarence Myron & Bernice White who instilled the love of the gospel and his generosity into his life. Dallas was raised in a family full of love, pranks and hard work. He is the oldest in his family the “big brother” to his siblings; Michael (Jasmine) White, Stephen (Lynda) White, Terri White, DeNiece (Jeff) Larson, Julie (Lynn) Stromness, David (Jonyse) White, DaWayne (Jermain) White. Dallas served an LDS mission in the Eastern States and later met the love of his life Shelley and with her parents blessing Authur & Ruth Stowe they were married in the Salt Lake temple in 1972. As their love grew their family grew and they were surrounded by 6 children; Adam (Codi) White, Michele (Cory) Baxter, Teresa (Russell) Peterson, Kristina (KaCee) McNeil, Heather Jacobsen, Jennifer (Jacoby) Mattson. 26 grandchildren,11 great-grandchildren, many beloved brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dallas worked for the LDS church in the drafting department for a time but spent most of his working career with the roof consulting company that he started 40 years ago. Dallas had a heart big enough to hold everyone he knew in it. If you were in his home you were family, and everyone always felt of his love. You were welcomed in with big smiles, warm hugs and the “candy bowl” in hand with one rule…..one for each hand.
Dallas loved spending time with family and friends whether it was fishing, hunting, camping, 4th of July celebrations with the early morning cannon shoot to wake up the neighborhood, BBQ cookouts, skeet shooting or driving river floaters up the mountain. The more the merrier and everyone was always welcome and felt at home. Later on in his life he sold his corvette to buy a wood lathe and took up the craft of wood turning. He enjoyed turning bowls and other crafts, it brought a smile to his face to be out in his garage teaching his children and grandchildren the art of wood turning or helping them with whatever project they crafted up in their mind, he would always say “if I don’t have it you don’t need it”. Teaching & watching his children and grandchildren to fish and hunt was something that brought such joy to him and it will always live on in our lives and bring back those precious memories and tall fish stories that we have with him. He is an amazing man and will truly be missed, his example and memories will live on forever in the lives of all those that he touched. We love you Dallas!
Dallas received a welcoming and loving embrace by his daughter Michele Baxter, his parents Clarence Myron & Bernice White, his father-in-law Arthur Stowe, his sister-in-law Jermain White and his brother-in-law Ryan Halford.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the hospice staff at FCMC for their compassionate and loving care that they provided to Dallas in his time of need. Thank you so much!
