Curtis James Boyack

Preston, Idaho Curtis J. BoyackPreston - Curtis James Boyack, 48, returned to the waiting arms of his loving Heavenly Father and Savior whose atonement makes families eternal, on Saturday, April 12, 2008. He was born August 16, 1959 in Preston, Idaho to Wayne and Reva Sorenson Boyack, the second of six children. His countenance drew people to him and his humor was who he was. He graduated from Preston High School and joined the Idaho National Guard in 1977. After completing his basic training he served an honorable mission in the London South Mission in England. Even after his mission he was still a missionary. His career in finance took him to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he met his eternal companion Julie Combs and her two sons Gary and Guy. They were married in the Logan Temple February 12, 1988 and later their daughter Tiffany Ann was born. Curt loved life and adventure. He was an avid hunter and his grandsons and nephews' best fishing buddy. He served 30 years in the military participating in Desert Storm in 1991, the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002, and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-2005 where he received many medals and awards. He also was a reserve deputy officer for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. Curt loved the church and his savior and served in many church callings. One of the most precious things in his life was his wife and best friend Julie. Together they enjoyed long walks, movies, camping, yard work, and anything outdoors. He loved being with his family and we know someday we will be with him again. He is survived by his wife Julie, his sons, Gary (Shoni) Combs, of Preston Guy Combs, Provo, UT; Tiffany Boyack (Jake Hobbs - fianc) of Preston, five grandchildren, his parents Wayne and Reva Boyack of Preston, brothers Bob (Olivia) Boyack, Riverdale, ID; Bryan (Christi) Boyack, Preston; sisters Dianne (Jeff) Seamons, Preston; Tammy (Kevin) Boyack-Beck, Preston; many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law Shane Gordon, Preston; James (Carol) Hawk, Midland, TX; and Johnny (Anne) Hawk, Spanish Fork, UT; and John (Cecile) Hawk, sister-in-law Jayne Box, Midland, TX.
