Clareen Mae Higbee Jones

Clareen Mae Higbee Jones, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born on May 27, 1936 in Downey, Idaho to Otto Fredrick and Clara Mae Denton Higbee. She married Alfred Jones on June 28, 1954 and they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 28, 1972.

Clareen loved the outdoors. She and Al spent a lot of time camping, hunting and fishing. They loved spending time at their cabin in Island Park and visiting Jackson Hole. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was very talented at both.

She is survived by her children Danette (Don) Gunner, Fred (Laurel) Jones, Kim (Christy) Jones, Shannon Montandon, and Becky (Ron) Anderson, 19 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Ardeen (LaRue) Higbee, Otto Higbee, Blaine (Beverly) Nisso. She was preceded by her parents, a brother Wayne Nisson a sister-in-law, Betty Higbee.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 East 100 South in Preston. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
