Chung Tsu (Lisa) Lasswell
Lisa Lasswell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion to family, and quiet strength.
She was born on February 10, 1941, in Miaoli, Taiwan, to Hwang Yung-Lie and Lie Chu-Mei. On October 1, 1964, she married Frederick Ralph Lasswell Jr. in Taipei, Taiwan. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, faith, and enduring love.
Her greatest joy and deepest concern were always for her family and their well-being. She devoted herself to raising her children, staying home with them until they were old enough to care for themselves. She later began a career in electronics fabrication, working for Hewlett-Packard and later for Eldec in the Everett, Washington area, where she was known for her excellence in attention to details.
In January 2011, she was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through her faith and association with her Cle Elum, Washington congregation, she formed several close and cherished friendships.
She loved sharing life advice with her grandchildren and found joy in caring for others through her kind smile and her cooking. Her delicious food brought family together, and her fried chicken was always a favorite. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her generous heart, her practical wisdom, and the many quiet ways she showed her love.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Lasswell of Preston, Idaho; her two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Lasswell of Garden City, Utah, and Robert (Shay) Lasswell of Cle Elum, Washington; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her four brothers, Hwang Tung Fu, Hwang Chung Fu, Hwang Wen Fu, and Hwang Jen Fu.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff at Heritage Senior Living Center of Preston, Idaho, for the loving attention and compassionate care they provided to our mother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, Idaho 83263.
