Cheryl McClellan Peterson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl McClellan Peterson. Cheryl passed Tuesday evening, July 2, 2024, after a long fight with an extended illness. She was surrounded by the love of her husband of 56 years along with her children and grandchildren.

Cheryl was born April 2, 1944, in Logan, Utah where she lived with her parents and three siblings. While growing up in Logan, she attended school, including Utah State University where she met her eternal companion, Webb Blaine Peterson. They were married for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple on June 7, 1968.

Cheryl was a lifelong, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Cheryl was loved by all who knew her. She was more introverted in life but could hold a conversation with just about anyone. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved cheering on her beloved Mariners, Seahawks, Sounders and Utah State Aggies.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln and Dorothy McClellan, and twin brothers, Lynn and Lincoln. She is survived by her husband, Webb B. Peterson, her seven children, twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Cheryl was one of the most kind, loving, and sweet spirits on earth and we were privileged to be her family.
