Cenisha Anne Porter quietly returned to her Heavenly Parents in the early morning hours of December 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Cenisha made her exciting entrance into this world on August 29, 1993, weighing a whopping 1 pound 6.5 ounces. She was a fighter from the beginning. She beat all the odds and has lived a happy, fulfilling life for 30 years.
Cenisha is the oldest daughter of Jeremy and Cherri Porter, and the best big sister to Whitney, Callie, Jaide and Kami. She adores her 2 nephews and 2 nieces and would light up whenever she saw them either in person or on FaceTime, and was full of kisses.
Cenisha loved music, her favorite being Tim McGraw, and attended two of his concerts. She was given a set of drumsticks by the crew after a Keith Urban concert. She loved to sing and dance in her own special way. She loved hanging out with her family, laughing at reels or watching her favorite movies; Spirit was her favorite, followed by anything Barbie, Ice Age, and the Legend of Johnny Lingo. She became more vocal during spiritual moments, including calling out “daddy” during family prayer.
Her favorite time of day was when daddy came home. She had him wrapped around her finger. She would be happy and content all day long, but if he wasn’t in by her as soon as she heard his voice, she would let us know. He would go in and lay by her and take a nap, and she was happy again. She always wanted him next to her.
Cenisha is survived by her parents, Jeremy and Cherri Porter, Pocatello, Idaho. Charlie & Cherry Higgs, Amarillo, Texas. Her siblings: Whitney (Bryant) Foster, Clinton, Utah; Callie (Justin) Wade, Rexburg, Idaho; Jaide (Logan) Basset, Pocatello, Idaho; Kami Porter, Pocatello, Idaho; and Cierra (Jaylon) Burnett, Amarillo, Texas. Her nephews Jackson and Jameson Foster, and her nieces Havana Foster, and Ava and unborn baby girl Wade. Her grandparents, Richard Carl Swainston, Preston. Idaho; Kent and Becky Porter, Preston, Idaho; and Nancy Higgs, Amarillo, Texas. Her aunts and uncles Cindy, Connie (Scott), Richard (Jennifer), Robert (Stephanie), Christine (Terry), Rodney (Dawn), Ryan (Shannon), Travis (Tami), Shauna, Casey (Emily), Tyler, Camille (Brandon), Robert (Amy), Kelsie (Skyler), and Lisa (Doug), and 72 cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bud & Linda Hollingsworth, aunt Tara Higgs Spears, and her amazingly wonderful Grandma Julie Swainston, who welcomed her home.
She is deeply loved and adored by many and is leaving a gigantic hole behind. She was truly an angel on earth. Till we meet again Cenisha Annie Goat. We promise to not let there be any empty chairs. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and staff from Portnuef Medical Center that took such great care of her over the past 5 plus weeks. You all made this time easier to bear. Thank you!
