Carmen Wheatley Hyde

PRESTON, IDAHO Carmen Wheatley Hyde, 59, passed into the arms of our loving Heavenly Father on Jan. 24, 2008, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was born April 12, 1948, in Tremonton, Utah, to the proud parents of Lynn and Mae Richardson Wheatley. She enjoyed her childhood growing up with her two older sisters. She liked dancing, horseback riding, riding motorcycles and many outdoor activities.As a young woman Carmen attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and moved to Grace, Idaho after completion where she met Kay Ransom. They married and celebrated the birth of their daughter, Rainee. Kay tragically passed away in an accident in 1970.Carmen was later introduced to Garth Hebdon whom she married and they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Nocona. They raised their family together for 29 years before deciding to part their ways. She then met and married her soul mate, Bob Hyde, and resided in Preston, Idaho. They were members of the Goldwing Road Riders Association and the POW/MIA Association together. They enjoyed traveling on their Goldwing motorcycle. Their happiness together was shared by all those who came in contact with them. With Bob by her side, she courageously battled cancer for over three years and enjoyed five wonderful years together until our Heavenly Father called her home.She is survived by her loving husband, Bob of Preston; daughters, Rainee (Steve) Eckhardt of Puyallup, Washington; Nocona (Mo) Loveday of Franklin, Idaho; step-daughters, Lindy Walker of Logan, Utah; Pam Hyde of Benson, Utah; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Coen, Kayla, Aurie, Tia, and Katie, her mother, Mae Wheatley of Brigham City, Utah; sisters, Mary Lyn (Lehn) Brangham of Battle Mountain, Nevada; and Pauline (Hyrum) Mower of Brigham City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her father and by a step-son, Dusty Garner.There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, Preston with Bishop Clendon Christensen conducting. Friends may call Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Lewiston Utah Cemetery.
